I have never really taken a self portrait before. It is a huge challenge to get a picture that I liked of me. One that said. "Wow, I look like that?!?" So I set up my tripod, used my remote shutter (for the fist time), and jumped onto the "other" side of the camera.

Plato, MO Pet Photographer | Texas County Animal Shelter

I have always wanted to help animals. Out here dogs get dumped all the time and it breaks my heart. Every time I need to call the Animal Shelter they are full.  So I thought, "How can I help in the most effective way?" I decided that using my skills as a photographer would be the best thing I could do. This is my first batch of Shelter pets. All of these animals are up for adoption at the Texas County Animal Shelter. If you are interested in adopting any of these pets you can visit their website with the link above, call them at 417-967-0700, or email them at texascountyanimals@hotmail.com.

PROJECT 52 WEEK 3: I DREAMED A DREAM

I missed last week because my hard drive crashed.....YUCK! Lucky for me I had all my important files backed up. So now I have it back and I am back in the game. For week three, the theme is I Dreamed a Dream.

My sweet boxer Lucy dreams to be able to sleep on my bed. She is a sweet, spoiled dog. She is allowed to lay on the bed before we go to sleep, but she hogs the bed so I put her down before we sleep. During the day Lucy can jump on the bed at any time. But at night, her legs must fail her because she always wants me to pick her up...lol. Told you she was spoiled.

PROJECT 52 WEEK 1: RESOLUTION

So I have always thought that the yearly photo project ideas were an awesome way to improve your photography, but have always been afraid to commit to one. I am a huge procrastinator and committing myself to a deadline scares the heck out of me. But this year I decided to bite the bullet and do not one, but two projects. They are both 52 week projects so I think I can handle this. The first one is over at Life with my 3 Boybarians and the first weeks theme is Resolution. I have had a hard time with this theme because I don't usually do New Year's Resolutions. I decided to just head outside with the camera and see what I could come up with. Here are my three new New Year's Resolutions.

RESOLUTION #1: Spend more time with friends.

RESOLUTION #2: Learn Yoga

RESOLUTION #3: More road trips with the family.
